Cathartes NFT is an experiment in collective creation and ownership of an artwork reflecting the aspirations of the early Ordinal community. Mint on ETH and bridge to BTC when you feel comfortable. Key points
The Reflection (what you mint) is an on-chain artwork that is algorithmically generated with your input and serves as a personal reflection of your emotions and aspirations in regard to the Ordinal movement. By moving sliders that represent various emotions, the algorithm will generate the Reflection of your mind on-chain.
The Reflection is minted as an NFT (ERC-721) but will be inscribed to the Bitcoin blockchain and have a unique ordinal identifier based on your ERC-721 token ID.
All minted Reflections will combine to form one larger community-created artwork, Cathartes. Once all the Reflections are minted out, the Cathartes is minted as an NFT (ERC-1155) token and inscribed to the Bitcoin blockchain as an ordinal. Cathartes is collectively created, owned and governed by the community.
Did someone say airdrop? After all the Reflections are minted out, a snapshot will be taken, and holders of Reflections will be airdropped Cath (1 Reflection = 1 Cath).
Cath is an NFT (ERC-1155) that represents collective ownership over Cathartes. Cath can be used as a regular NFT, e.g. flex in a gallery, use it as PFP, list for sale, etc.
To reduce risks for non-technical users, the drop is happening on ETH, but the endgame for Cathartes is Bitcoin. Holders will be able to burn their Eth reflection and receive the equivalent Ordinal.
