Overland, underwater, and into the unknown. Search 1x1 is the first exploration community in Web3. Backed by real archaeologists, members mount archaeological expeditions called ARX to solve historyβs most enigmatic mysteries. Every ARX has the potential to change the world and rewrite the future.
Search 1x1 is backed by the professional archaeologists at SEARCH, Inc. Since 1993, SEARCH, Inc. has completed more than 4,500 expeditions in 33 countries spanning 7 continents and 4 oceans. They helped discover Ernest Shackleton's famed lost ship Endurance, relocated the WWII battleship USS Nevada, recorded the oldest rock art in the Americas, and recovered remnants of the Spanish shipwreck that inspired the hit film The Goonies. They are regularly featured on National Geographic, Netflix, Discovery, and more. Their recent work identifying the last American slave ship Clotilda evolved into a documentary that was just purchased by the Obamas.
When an ARX is live, Search 1x1 holders will engage directly with archaeologists in the field via livestreams, daily reports, and highly-produced media. Plus, for each ARX, a lucky few holders will be selected to join the expedition IRL. Corresponding digital quests called Parallel ARX will reward holders who dare to thread a tract through a digital wilderness of clues.
One collection, two characters: Search 1x1 is made up of Dirty Badgers and Soggy Otters. Dirty Badger holders will participate in overland ARX, while Soggy Otters will participate in underwater ARX. In addition to ARX access, holding either character will grant access to a wide range of inter-ARX utilities and benefits.
Search 1x1 will build a brand by publicizing and monetizing content created during ARX, and will grow that brand by selling individual, on-chain ARX tickets to the wider public.
